Parents may bring their child(ren) to the Library with a driver’s license and the child’s school ID or a recent report card for a free card.
Library Programs
The Waterford Public Library offers many free opportunities throughout the year to hear stories, try crafts, see performances or learn something new. Details on special events can be found on the Library’s calendar.
Summer Programs

Read 25 books or 500 pages before August 18th to earn a certificate, free books and other special rewards! A complete schedule, including additional 2010 summer programs, will be available at sign up.
--Creating Reader Backpacks
Beginning July 1st and continuing through August, children entering kindergarten in the fall may borrow special backpacks filled with books, videos/DVDs, computer software and other reading related activities. Backpacks may be signed out for two weeks at a time on the special clipboard in the Youth Services’ department!
Scout Leaders
Scout Leaders are invited to bring their troop to the Library to the Waterford Public Library for a fun, informational session, to work on badge or patch requirements or just to explore!
Please contact the Youth Services Librarian to set up a time and date about a month before the visit. Scheduling is fairly flexible, but visits during your troop’s regular meeting times are not always possible. It is important to schedule a time even if you just wish to bring your troop for a casual visit in order to avoid conflicts with Library programming and other group visits.
