Children’s Summer Reading (K-6th Grade)

This summer, we’re inviting kids to Color Our World—with stories, imagination, and a whole lot of fun! Our Children’s Summer Reading Program is designed to keep young readers excited, engaged, and inspired all summer long.

How it works:
Starting June 23, stop by the library to pick up your reading log. Each time you read for 15 minutes, place a sticker on your log. Read anything you like—picture books, early readers, graphic novels, and audiobooks all count! If you are a parent of young children, reading aloud to your child will also count toward participation.

When you complete a row or column on your reading log, you’ll earn:

  • A free book to take home
  • A pick from the prize bin
  • A raffle ticket for a chance to win one of our colorful Children’s Prize Baskets

BONUS!
The first 10 kids to turn in a fully completed reading record will receive a drawstring backpack and a basic tie-dye kit—just the thing to brighten up your summer days!

Key Dates:

Alongside reading, we’ll have weekly programs, crafts, storytimes, and special guests—all designed to celebrate creativity, color, and the joy of reading.

So grab your reading log, fill your summer with stories, and help us Color Our World—one book and one sticker at a time!
