You can borrow wireless hotspots from the library. Hotspots are provided by T-Mobile. Borrowers must be at least 16 years of age, have a library card in good standing, and be a resident of the Waterford Halfmoon Public School District. Hotspots are checked out for a two-week period and may be renewed one time. There is a 24-hour waiting period after returning a hotspot before another hotspot can be checked out. For example, if a hotspot is returned on a Tuesday afternoon, you must wait until Wednesday afternoon to check out another hotspot. Hotspots are limited to one per household. Hotspots must be returned directly to Waterford Public Library (not to another library in the system) and must be returned to the check-out desk. Devices should never be placed in the book drop as this may cause damage to the hotspot. There is a $5 per day overdue charge up to a maximum of $50. Lost or damaged Hotspots will be charged at the $100 replacement cost. Please note that leaving your hotspot in a hot or cold car may cause damage to the hotspot. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in the loss of borrowing privileges of hotspots.
