Hearth Charm: A Botanical Ball for Home & Harmony

Hearth charms were common in European folk traditions, particularly in Celtic, English, and Appalachian folk practices. People would hang or place handmade charms near the hearth, doorway, or windows to symbolize protection for the household and to welcome good fortune. The hearth was considered the heart of the home, so protecting it was thought to protect everyone who lived there.
