We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new Seed Library. Stop by to pick up free seed packets and start your garden. We hope this resource helps reduce food insecurity while encouraging sustainability. A seed-saving program will be offered this fall so participants can learn to harvest and save seeds for the following year or return seeds to help the library sustain the collection. Initial seeds were generously donated by Cornell Cooperative Extension and Bentley Seed Co.
Types of seeds we have:
- Flower
- Vegetable
- Herb
- Fruit
There is a clipboard on the wall next to the seed library. Please record the following info on the clipboard if you take seeds:
- Date
- Name (first name only)
- Town
- Varieties taken
Community members are welcome to drop off harvested seeds (bagged and labeled please) at any time. We also receive weekly produce deliveries from Capital Roots as part of their Squash Hunger Program, so if you have any excess harvests over the summer, please feel free to bring extra veggies down which we will hand out.
